Wren has started clapping and waving. When I say goodbye to her in the morning at daycare I get sweet little waves! When she first started waving every object received waves, even in the middle of the night!
Recently Wren started Waterbabies swim class at Osborn Aquatic Center. The first class ended in tears after a no-nap afternoon but since then classes have gone... swimmingly (chuckle chuckle). Wren has had a few dips completely under water and has started kicking her legs a little.
We all attended the Oregon State University commencement ceremony to watch cousin Melissa graduate (Congrats, Melissa!). Wren can now say she has been within 100 yards of the First Lady as Michelle Obama was the speaker.
We weighed Wren recently and she was 21 pounds even. Wearing some of her 9 month clothes still but transitioning mostly to 12 month.
Wren's new daycare provider has been working on napping and most days Wren takes two naps of about 90 minutes or more. Not quite the same at home (we usually still have 3 shorter naps here) but daytime sleeping is vastly improved. The nights consist of waking up every 3 hours or so still....we had one week of really great sleep in the past month so we know it's possible!
Wren had a play date with Baby G from the neighborhood and was terrible at sharing her toys. Everything G picked up Wren reached over and snatched away from her! I had no idea that type of behavior started so young....something to work on!
Wren has tried a few new fruits and veggies with all of the local produce coming into season. We plan to pick blueberries soon - Jay's favorite! We introduced Purely-Os (a variant of Cheerios) and Wren is addicted!

| Wren has a lot to learn about sharing! |
| Strapped into her Chariot bike trailer for her first ride! She's a little short for the trailer but we'll try again soon! |

What a story all these pictures tell, even without your wonderful narrative. I must have missed her fist crawl by hours. She will have lots to discover when you all come to visit. Looking forward to it. Love Mom/Gramma
ReplyDeletePS: The lawn looks fantastic. Can't wait to walk barefoot through the grass :)
She is getting so big! Callie started swim lessons on Monday and dunked her head for the first time EVER! I can't believe Wren is doing it already! I'm going to call you soon to see if you guys can make it up our way when you're in Seattle!
