9 months plus!

On Monday July 10th Wren turned 9 months old and today, July 15th, marks the day that Wren has been out of the womb as long as she was in: 39 weeks, 6 days.  As exciting as pregnancy was, the 279 days of our lives with Wren have made the 279 before that seem pretty boring in comparison.  What a milestone!
Wren continues to crawl all over and has started bear crawling - hands and feet. She tries to pull herself up every once in a while and knows how to open cupboards.  "No" sounds are popular lately!  Wren keeps practicing her speech and it almost seems like she might form a whole sentence at once.
Swim class is going great!  Wren had her 9 month checkup and she continues on the same path as she has with previous measurements: 29.6" tall (99th percentile), 21 lbs. 2 oz (89th).  She is becoming leaner!  Her adorably chunky thighs are thinning out...and that makes me a little sad.
Wren had a visit from Grandma T who filled in as daycare provider while our regular daycare was on vacation. Grandma T was a trooper with our tough-to-get-down napper and the two of them had a great time together.
We just returned this afternoon from a weekend trip to Central Oregon to see Gramma Sondy and Papa Barclay. Wren did a great job on the drive over, not so great job of sleeping all weekend, and a pretty pleasant drive back. We are hoping for some good rest now that we are back on familiar turf.

Uh-oh!
Wren hasn't figured out the snack trap yet but she knows that holding
a flap down and shaking leads to fast results
