Since the last post, so very long ago, Nora grew into a wild banshee toddler, running all over the place and taking daring chances on the furniture. So unlike her big sister, Nora throws caution to the wind and will try any physical task, regardless of her petite stature. Nora has a huge personality, big voice, and a lot of drive - and she's a cute little ham to boot (she now says "Cheeeeeeeeese" as soon as you point a camera/phone at her).
Wren is almost officially 4.5 but you'd guess she's nearly 6 if you had a chat with her. Wren is wise beyond her years with a booming vocabulary (She told us recently that she was "kind of disappointed" when the park we went to didn't have a swing set and asks if you like her "elegant" shoes) and is an amazing helper. Wren loves to help around the house and play in the yard, making soups and pies out of dirt and weeds. She took two sessions of dance class and will be starting gymnastics soon. She enjoys singing and dancing around the living room and is warming up to having videos taken of her.
Jay and I keep busy with the girls, work, and zoning out after the kids go to bed. We are about to celebrate 2 years in our house and have almost nothing to show for it in our yard. But we still have plans and intentions, so that counts for something, right? Jay has become quite fond of running and is currently training for a forest trail run in May. Wren enjoys running, too, and we are looking into a kids race for her to enter.
Sure, plenty of other things have happened for us (camping (mostly unsuccessfully so far), air travel (mostly unsuccessful so far), holidays, birthdays, promotions (woo-hoo!)) but it boils down to us making it through each day healthy and together (and better rested, too. This ol' blog doesn't have to know about how Nora was a worse sleeper than her sister for way too many months!).
Cheers to a first step at further chronicling our adventures :)
Just a few pics from the last week!
