18 weeks!

This week Wren continued to refine her motor skills and is super close to being able to correctly place her pacifier in her mouth.  Today she got it in upside down!  We got a few more giggles out of Wren with some underarm tickles!
We had some rough nights with Wren waking up about every 3 hours and decided to transition her to her big crib on Friday.  That night, after some adjustments and wake-ups, she slept 4 hours then another 2.5.  The next two nights were even better with almost 7 hours last night!  I think she likes her crib and she must have been trying to tell us that she was ready!
We had another play-date with two of pals but Wren decided to take a snooze in the middle of it!  Wren received her very first Valentine in the mail and on Sunday had a visit from second cousins Jessica and Melissa and later in the day from Opa, Oma, and Uncle Mike.
Today was Wren's 4 month check-up appointment with Dr. Metzler and we got the new stats: 16 pounds, 13 ounces (90th percentile), 26.25" (98th percentile!)  Where did this girl get her height from??!!  That's less than 2" of growth in two months - pretty reasonable compared to the 5" of growth during her first two months of life!  Dr. Metzler recommended getting Wren on a schedule for naps and introducing rice cereal in the next month or so.  She said to expect rolling over soon! Dr. Metzler was very impressed with how strong Wren is and, based on her excellent balance while standing, believes she will walk early.  Wren had her second set of shots today and was a trooper!  Again Jay held her arms during the shots (we requested the same Aide, Joel, who did such a great job two months ago) and though there were tears Wren was calm after just a few minutes.  She took a few naps over the rest of the day and had an early bedtime tonight.  Such a champ!

Uncle Mike is so tall!
So sleepy after her check-up
